Dave Van Buren is a retired Richmond Police Officer and Former Richmond SWAT Team member. Dee Dee Van Buren is a Nationally recognized NRA Instructor in unarmed courses and has attended both the FBI and DHS Active Shooter Protocols classes. Her Feb. 2015 Cam & Co. interview featured on the Sportsman Channel and Shown at the NRA National Convention led to Dee Dee being a guest speaker at an NRA National Convention.

Recognize & Avoid Dangerous Situations: RADS™ Classes teach methods to avoid dangerous situations and prevent criminal confrontations in a relaxed classroom environment. Experts agree the most important factor in surviving a criminal attack is to have an overall safety strategy before you need it.
Host a private class! We will come to you! (Minimum 10) When you have 15 we start paying you $10/person!
Seminar topics address personal safety issues as well as home, automobile, telephone, technological, and travel security. Seminar participants are presented with a variety of common-sense crime prevention and personal safety strategies and devices you may integrate into your daily lives.
This class will make you more confident, aware and help you stay safer. Being married to a Police Officer for over 20 years I have heard stories. Unfortunately, I know there are bad people out there who hurt people. I have seen firsthand what it does to my husband when he interviews the victims. I cannot imagine how the victim deals with the experience. We want to do everything in our power to keep you out of harm’s way.
Home Invasions have increased, learn strategies to keep you and Your family safe.
Part 1 Topics: Current Criminal Trends, the Psychology of a Criminal, Home Security and Technology Fraud. Crime Prevention Personal Safety Strategies in Chesterfield, Henrico and Richmond, classes are popular with families.
Part 2 Topics: Proper use of Self Defense Devices and Active Shooter Protocols, Automobile Safety, Domestic and Foreign Travel.
We teach you how to stay out of harm’s way; however, there are bad people out there. You can do everything right and still be attacked, so we also go over your options in those circumstances. How I would respond will be different from how you would react. RADS is all about Crime Prevention Personal Safety Strategies. Classes are in Chesterfield, Henrico, but we serve all of Central, VA and the Richmond Area.
Our goal is to reach as many people as possible. We want to partner with businesses and non-profit organizations to help raise awareness for personal safety and crime prevention. We can customize a shorter version to suit your particular needs.
